What to do when we see conjunctival telangiectasia in a patient?
Look for the Cause:
PRIMARY TELANGIECTATIC DISORDERS
• Ataxia telangiectasia
• Hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia(HHT)
• Bloom syndrome
• Generalised essential telangiectasia

OCULAR MANIFESTATION OF A SYSTEMIC DISEASE
• Rosacea
• Xeroderma pigmentosum
• Fabry’s disease
• Hyperviscosity syndrome
• Alport’s syndrome
• Diabetes mellitus

TRAUMA
POST RADIOTHERAPY
IDIOPATHIC

Treatment:
Usually not required; cautery has been used in case of recurrent bleed in HHT
